MAT TRAINER CLASS This class teaches the essential exercises and the complete mat repertoire, building the foundation for proper technique and development of skills necessary in all HBK courses. You will learn to create a successful mat class for various fitness levels. Whether used in group, or one-on-one settings, this course creates a current teaching method and vocabulary for the trainer.Progressions, modifications, and prop usage will be explored. REFORMER LEVEL I This course covers beginner/intermediate reformer exercises. Learn the intention of the exercise, verbal and hands on cueing, and how to create modifications for special populations with props, etc. The reformer series builds the foundation for the Equipment Trainer. ASSESSMENT Learn to assess and understand postural imbalances with both static and dynamic testing techniques. Develop effective protocols for program design to facilitate postural change. Find muscular imbalance patterns, feel joint play, and tissue tension to develop palpation and visual skills. (Back to top) |

CADILLAC LEVEL I This course covers beginner/intermediate Cadillac exercises. Learn the intention of the exercise, flow, initiation, and sequencing of the movements. The Cadillac series adds on to the reformer series to create a solid movement encyclopedia for the trainer. Cueing and modifications will be given. (Back to top) |
RELEASE & REEDUCATE This course will teach effective soft tissue and joint mobilization techniques specific to the alignment and intention of the exercise, allowing for reeducation of musculoskeletal imbalance to facilitate postural change. Muscle energy, positional, and manual techniques will be explored. (Back to top) |

UPPER/LOWER QUARTER FOCUS This course will take a closer look at muscular imbalances of the upper thoracic, cervical spine, and shoulder girdle for the upper quarter; and assessment of hip, knee, ankle, and foot alignment for the lower quarter focus. Discussion of common postural faults and deviations, with exercise protocols to correct and facilitate better alignment included. (Back to top) |
ADVANCED REPERTOIRE Course will cover advanced exercises for the Reformer and Cadillac, as well as introduce exercises for auxiliary (wunda chair, ladder barrel, arc, etc.) equipment expanding your teaching curriculum. (Back to top) |
